If you want a head start on the spa pool buying process then follow these easy steps and you'll be armed with enough information to make an informed decision.
Probably the first step is to decide where you want to place the spa. Take into account that we recommend a reinforced concrete pad 100mm thick or a deck that can hold the weight of a spa pool.
Allow for the provision of a power supply and make sure there is plenty of room to move when getting in and out of the spa. Also make sure that you allow space to get to the access panel in the event of any service work
Ask yourself what you want from your new spa pool. Do you want simple bubbly fun, full hydrotherapy, or maybe a mixture of both?
You will see some spas that offer minimal jets and others that come with enough to give you a full body massage. Different seats will affect the kind of soak you will have. Take the time to sit in the seats while the spa is dry and see if they are comfortable.
How many people do you want to fit in the spa at any one time? Check that the foot well is large enough to hold the number of people it says it will
Insulation can make or break a spa pool. Cheaper spa pools use less and therefore while you save money initally, you wind up paying more in the long run. All our spa pools use closed cell insulation designed for New Zealand conditions. What this means to you is that you are going to have lower running costs and a better in pool experience. You deserve nothing less.
The pump, heater and filters are the work horses of your spa pool. The pump circulates the water through the heater, jets and filters. The heater warms the water to the desired temperature and the filter catches and traps debris and body oils for removal later. These should be easy to reach.
The pumps on our spas have been specified to suit the individual spa and the number of jets inside.
An ozone sanitiser system in a spa pool works at eliminating contaminants in the water better than standard sanitisers.
By having this system in your spa you:
Ozone systems in spas still require chemicals to work alongside them, but at a lower level. Oasis Spa Pools give you the option to include this feature in any pool in our range.
The power requirements for your new spa will be determined by the number of pumps and the size of the heater. Generally a 15amp dedicated circuit to an outside plug will suffice. All electrical work must be supplied and carried out by a registered electrician.
